Rajinikanth skips ‘Main Hoon Rajinikanth’ special screening

We reported yesterday that Rajinikanth and Soundarya R. Ashwin will watch the special screening of the Bollywood films Main Hoon Rajinikanth directed by Faisal Saif. Apparently, Rajinikanth and co. skipped the screening upon advice from his legal counsel. In fact, Rajinikanth’s lawyers have sent an e-mail statement to the other camp stating that Faisal had made defamatory statements against Rajinikanth and that they will not be attending the screening.

“I fail to understand what defamatory statement I’ve made. When they approach the court without even seeing the film and make comments on it, isn’t that defamatory?” asks Faisal to a daily. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth camp says they never promised to attend the screening in first place. The case will come to hearing in court on October 7th.
