Rajinikanth to meet his fans on Lingaa release date?

The latest buzz in the tinsel town is that Rajinikanth is likely to meet his fans on his birthday, which also happens to be the release date of Lingaa direced by KS Ravikumar. Meeting fans on his birthday was a regular affair for Rajinikanth in the 90s before a political controversy erupted in 1996 which made him cease the practice.

Now, while the K’town is abuzz with reports that BJP political leader Amit Shah has met Rajinikanth in Hyderabad on the sets of Lingaa to invite him to join the party formally, sources say Rajinikanth will meet his fans on his birthday this year. Lastly, he met his fans in 2012 for his birthday, since he fell ill and was bed-ridden during the first day shoot of Rana.
