Rajinikanth’s Lingaa vs Aamir Khan’s PK in December 2014

This year’s biggest box-office clash will happen in December when two gravely anticipated films, Rajinikanth’s Lingaa and Aamir Khan’s P.K. release back to back. Lingaa is all set to release on Dec 12 and P.K. a week later on Dec 19, to capitalize on Christmas holidays. The makers of both films are targeting nearly 4000 screens worldwide and as far as India is concerned, the box-office divide is very evident. Rajinikanth wave will sweep all over South India and Aamir Khan will dominate the north Indian box-office.

But, the international box-office clash between the two legends will be interesting since both Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan  have a huge market in UK and US. While Aamir Khan is likely to command the box-office in Middle East, Rajinikanth’s will overshadow the neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, Malaysia and even Japan. Trade pundits are already up on their toes predicting box-office numbers for the year’s much-awaited clash.
