When Rajinikanth got emotional listening to Lingaa script

Ponkumaran, who wrote the story of Rajinikanth’s Lingaa, says Rajinikanth got emotional during the sentimental scenes when he narrated the script to him. The film will go before the censor board today and the team is hopeful of getting a tidy U certificate. “Rajini sir was listening with rapt attention. He got emotional when I narrated emotional scenes and smiled when I narrated comedy sequences. He didn’t move from his seat till I said ‘titles start rolling,” says Ponkumaran.

Rubbishing reports of story theft, Ponkumaran says, “It is a commercial and mass-hero entertainer. Of course it has a social message and sure to leave an impression on the minds of the audience.” Lingaa is all set to storm the box-office from December 12th.
