Rajinikanth files a case against ‘Main Hoon Rajinikanth’
It’s very often one would see Superstar Rajinikanth resort to legal measures. Now, he has moved to Chennai High Court seeking a stay order against the Bollywood film Main Hoon Rajinikanth directed by Faisal Saif featuring Adithya Menon and Kavitha Radeshyam in lead roles. Rajinikanth has sought protection against infringement of his ‘personality rights’. “Three months ago, Latha Rajinikanth had come to know that there were some vulgar videos posted on YouTube from a film titled Main Hoon Rajinikanth,” says Latha’s spokesperson.
Meanwhile director Faizal says since the censor board has passed the movie, it means that the film has no objectionable content. “First of all, my film is not on Thalaivaat all. My hero’s character just has the name Rajinikanth. The film is a tribute and is not a biopic. I cannot understand why a kindhearted person like Rajinikanth has gone ahead and filed a case when he has not seen my film,” says Faisal to an English daily. Faisal also says he is ready to explain to Rajinikanth’s lawyers if they approach him.
Now, the Chennai HC has granted stay order for the film’s release.
