Rajinikanth and Sagayam laud Vetrimaaran’s Visaaranai
As Visaaranai is gearing up for theatrical release tomorrow following successful international and Indian premierers in esteemed film festivals, Superstar Rajinikanth and IAS officer Sagayam, one of Tamil Nadu’s highly respected civil servants, have raved about the movie.
“I have never seen a film like Visaaranai in Tamil. It’s a Tamil film with the standards of world cinema. Congratulations Vetrimaaran and Dhanush,” said Rajinikanth on his Twitter page.
“The unrestrained power in the hands of police department is totally against the idea of democracy. We are in dire need of urgent reforms and laws that keep atrocities in prison investigations in check,” said Sagayam after watching the film.
