Rajinikanth joins the list of 100 influential Asians

Rajinikanth, the superstar of Indian cinema, has been ranked 66th in the list of 100 influential Asians with AR Rahman, who is the only other artist from Tamil cinema in the list with 95th rank. The Asian Awards honoring Asian Excellence is founded by businessman Paul Sagoo. The coveted list is topped by the Chinese President Xi Jinping. Narendra Modi, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have been named among top 5 in the list.

Bollywood actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai have also been named in the list. While Big B is placed at 63rd rank, Aamir Khan is placed at 68th rank, two places behind the superstar and Aishwarya Rai is placed at 84th rank. The box-office king of Hindi cinema, Salman Khan is ranked 98th in the list followed by MS Dhoni at 99th. This recognition from a foreign land is yet another feather in the cap for the superstar.
