Rajini Murugan distribution rights for the USA secured

With only a week left to hit the screens, the excitement of fans over the release of Sivakarthikeyan’s long-in-the-offing Rajini Murugan is palpable. The latest update on the project is the distribution rights for the USA have been acquired jointly by Praneeth Media and Sigaram Visual Media. The premieres will be held in the US on the 13th of January. The theatres list will be announced over the weekend.

Produced by Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers, the film has Sivakarthikeyan teaming up with director Ponram for the second time after their super hit last outing Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam. Keerthy Suresh plays the lead heroine and Soori provides comic relief. Imman’s songs have already been declared chart-busters, especially in the C centres. Meanwhile, there are reports in the trade that the makers are planning to release the film from January 13th evening to take advantage of Pongal holidays.
