Radha Ravi attacks ‘Lingaa’ critics in a condescending speech
Radha Ravi openly attacks ‘Lingaa’ critics, faux story theft claims in a condescending speech at the audio launch function of Sarathkumar’s Sandamarutham. His speech was laden with unparliemantary words and grabbed many eyeballs. “If you know it’s your story, why don’t you claim when the film’s pooja was held? Why just before release? How can a producer pay 5 crores from his pocket on the eve of a film’s release? Cinema industry should unite together and bow down before the Chief Justice of India to put an end to this,” he said.
He also heaped lavish praise on KS Ravikumar for his active, dedicated involvement while shooting Lingaa. “He has to deal with Kannada technicians on the sets and sometimes lost his temper and used foul words. When we were shooting in a temple, Rajinikanth told KS Ravikumar that he can shoot here only if he promises to not use foul language in the temple premises. Then, I asked, am I allowed?,” told Radha Ravi satirically.
He also attacked critics who criticised the length of the film. “Everyone’s talking about the length of the film. Padam romba neelama iruku solrangaa, entha neelaththa solra?,” told Radha Ravi in an intentional double entendre.
