“We QUIT,” says Studio 9 Productions and attributes the failure to Vijay Sethupathi
We earlier reported you here that a complaint has been lodged against Vijay Sethupathi in the producers council by Studio 9 Productions. Vijay Sethupathi, who had taken advance from Studio 9 for Vasantha Kumaran, never responded to calls neither gave any intimations about the project according to their report.
The Studio 9 team took to their social media pages to post their ‘We QUIT’ from their Managing Director RK Suresh. The message took everyone by surprise and Vijay Sethupathi is expected to make an official statement soon to clarify this.

As u all know, Studio9 was the backbone of quality movies like Salim , Thangameengal, IdharkuthaneAasaipataiBalakumara, SoodhuKavvum, Paradesi. We also have Mahabalipuram , Aaah in our line up. Though we were successful , we have received a heavy loss because of VijaySethupathi who agreed to make a movie for us but didnt. He has even taken an advance payment for the movie but is neither giving his dates nor responding properly for our calls. This has been the case for the past 1 and half years. We have helped his movies SoodhuKavvum nd Idhaba to achieve big time. And what he is doing for us is really disheartening. In lieu of the financial loss just because of this we have decided to stop all our works related to cinema. Mahabalipuram will not be released. And all our productional works are put to an end. We Quit.
