Purampokku teaser tonight; slated for release in Jan 2015!

Producer Dhananjayang of UTV Motion Pictures has announced the release plans of SP Jananathan’s Purampokku. The much-awaited teaser of the film will be unveiled tonight and the audio release is planned for the third week of November. SP Jananathan has roped in Varshan, a debutant music composer for the film. Dhananjayang has also confirmed that the film will be a solo release in January 2015 and will not clash with any major film. “Two songs from new music director Vashan, shot with #Vijaysethupathi are super gana dance numbers. Loved them. Music release in 3rd week of Nov’14 in a grand manner planned:-),” he tweeted.

Featuring an all-star cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Arya, Shaam and Karthika Nair in lead roles, Purampokku is loosely based on the plight of prisoners rotting in jail without any legal help and also on how detrimental capital punishment is to the society. The film is in the final stages of shooting now.
