Pugazh is set against a political backdrop: Manimaaran
Jai’s upcoming film Pugazh is set against a political backdrop, says director Manimaaran of Udhayam NH4 fame. The film has love and family sentiments in equal proportions. Jai essays the role of a common man and the story captures the rise of an underdog. Actor-director G. Marimuthu of Aarohanam fame plays baddie as a local politician in the film.
Produced by Sushant Prasad of Film Department in association with Varun Manian of Radiance Media, Pugazh has Surabhi of Velai Illa Pattathari fame as the lead heroine. Karunaas who made a stellar comeback in Darling will be seen in a serious role in Pugazh as Jai’s brother. RJ Balaji who played Jai’s friend in Vadacurry will also be seen in an important role.
