Priya Anand wants to work with director R. Kannan every year

Priya Anand, who is awaiting the release of Oru Oorla Rendu Raja, says she would like to work on at least one film with director R. Kannan every year. Starring Soori and Vemal in lead roles, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja has Priya Anand playing the female lead and Vishakha Singh in an important role. “To be able to do a film that’s so clean is satisfying. I have an intro song Sundari Penne sung by Shreya Ghoshal. It’s come out like how Mani Ratnam would have shot it,” says Priya Anand to a daily.

She is all praise for her director R. Kannan, who in fact, is a former associate of Mani Ratnam. “He’s open to discussion and suggestion. People are insecure about their product, but he’s not like that. I’d love to work on at least one film with him every year,” says Priya Anand. Her last film Irumbu Kuthirai was not received well and she is looking forward to the release of Oru Oorla Rendu Raja, which is scheduled to hit screens on October 2nd.
