We earlier brought you here an introduction about producer Dhananjayan Govind’s recent book Pride of Tamil Cinema which was unveiled at the International Film Festival of India in Goa amidst celebrities from the industry and senior government officials. The book, which is a priceless compendium of knowledge on Tamil films which received national and internation recognition, is available both in stores and online now. The book traces the history of Tamil cinema from the first talkie film Kalidas which released in 1931 to the most recent releases in 2013. The book, according to Dhananjayan, is a tribute to the film producers, directors, artistes and techcians who brought honors and accolades to Tamil cinema. The book is illustrated with 700 rare, never-seen-before images and posters of Tamil films. The book has already received wide appreaciation from his peers who shower praise for the painstaking effort and the arduous amount of research work.
