Premgi Amaren’s double role in Maanga
Premgi Amaren’s Maanga is likely to hit screens in September. He essays a dual role in the film and is paired with two heroines – Advaita and Leema. “I play both a bhagavathar Gemini Ganesan from the 50s and a present day scientist Shiva who thinks he’s clever and intelligent, but he’s not and that’s why people call him Maanga,” quips Premgi. He also composes music for the film and it has six songs in total.
The shooting for Maanga is wrapped up and the post-production work is going on in full swing. On working with his brother Venkat Prabhu’s Masss, he says, “I am so excited to share screen space with Surya, Amy Jackson and Nayanthara. Venkat Prabhu is not really a planner and I don’t know what role he has on his mind for me. It happens spontaneously.”
