Prashanth, Sathyaraj and Prakashraj team up for ‘Special 26’ remake

We earlier reported here that actor-director-producer Thyagarajan is in talks with the makers of Hindi film Special 26 to buy the remake rights. Few months back, it was rumored that Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers had purchased the remake rights for the film and Vikram and Sathyraj will reprise Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher’s roles. Now, it’s been confirmed that the remake is on the cards and Prashanth will reprise the lead role played by Akshay Kumar and Prakashraj and Sathyaraj will play Manoj Bajpayee and Anupam Kher’s roles respectively.

Meanwhile, it is worth remembering that Thyagarajan’s homebanner Staar Movies has also purchased the remake rights of Hindi film Queen and the female lead is not finalized yet for the role.
