Prabhu Deva to adapt Rajesh Kumar’s crime series
Prabhu Deva has been on a long sabbatical from Kollywood. In fact, his last Tamil film was the Vishal-starrer Vedi which was a disaster at the box-office. However, he’s quite active in Bollywood and has completed four Hindi films in the past two years. Now, he is gearing up to direct his next Hindi film based on the crime series Velvet Kuttrangal penned by renowned crime novelist Rajesh Kumar.
The series is set in the backdrop of a missing Malaysian Airlines flight and the mysterious happenings surrounding it. Though Prabhu Deva has confirmed that he’s interested to adapt the novel into a feature, he’s closemouthed to divulge anymore details. Sources say Akshay Kumar may play the protagonist in the film.
