Prabhas: First South Indian actor at Madame Tussauds, Bangkok
Madame Tussauds Bangkok will be seeing more of Baahubali in the coming year 2017. With a new wax figure Prabhas is being immortalized and will be joining the ranks of the world’s most famous personalities exclusively at Madame Tussauds’ attraction in Bangkok in March 2017. After PM Narendra Modi’s wax statue that was installed in April 2016 and Mahatma Gandhi’s statue, Prabhas would be the third Indian personality who will stand tall at the museum
“Prabhas is definitely in the spotlight,” commented Noppadon Prapimpunt, Head of Bangkok Cluster for Merlin Entertainments (Thailand), and General Manager of Madame Tussauds Bangkok.
“Prabhas underwent a sitting in Hyderabad with Madame Tussauds artists, where 350 photos and measurements were taken of the star to enable a truly flawless re-creation of his likeness. He will be depicted as his character Amarendra Baahubali and will be seen in his battle armor at Madame Tussauds Bangkok. Prabhas who turned into a national star after the release of the film carries a huge fanbase and popularity amongst the audiences,” reads a statement.
“I am really happy to have been selected by Madam Tussaud and this was only possible because of the fans. I am grateful for their unconditional love and support. I am also thankful to my guru, SS Rajamouli, for the opportunity to work on this fantastic project called Baahubali,” says Prabhas.
In March 2017, fans can stand shoulder-to-shoulder and take selfies with the famous Prabhas in his legendary Baahubali character in the Movie Room, side by side with other movie superstars such as Spiderman, Wolverine, James Bond, and Captain America. Madame Tussauds Bangkok is located on the fourth floor of Siam Discovery in Bangkok.
