Petta is filled with a lot of action sequences and will be a treat for Pongal, says Rajinikanth
Superstar Rajinikanth has said that Petta is packed with a lot of action sequences. “I was very particular about roping in stunt master Peter Hein for the film. Karthik has extracted the best out of me. The moments and performances I did in the 80s and 90s, he brought back the same from me. I was very excited. Petta has come very well. It would be a perfect festival treat for Pongal for the audiences,” said Rajinikanth.
Superstar also thanked the audiences for making 2.0 a massive success everywhere in the world. Rajinikanth gushed about Vijay Sethupathi, who has revealed that he plays a villain in the film. “Vijay Sethupathi is a different thinking person. He has an extraordinary clarity of thought and is a great human being too. For each and every shot, he thinks carefully and puts in a lot of effort to improvise and do something different. He speaks very beautifully. But he doesn’t read books. Neither does he watch a lot of movies. He thinks like a psychiatrist; like a scientist.”
Also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran, Trisha, Sasikumar and Bobby Simha in important roles, Petta is slated to hit screens worldwide for Pongal 2019. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, Petta has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
