Petta has a strong story with a family backdrop, says Karthik Subbaraj
Speaking at the pre-release event of Petta in Hyderabad, director Karthik Subbaraj said, “Petta is not only a dream film for me, but also for the entire cast and crew, as we all have been great fans of Superstar. I thank Sun Pictures for giving us this opportunity. This film will definitely be a feast for all Thalaivar fans and the general audience. Petta has a strong story with a family backdrop. There is a lot of action packed with ‘Thalaivar’ moments. It is a festival film and I feel the film should be celebrated like a festival.”
He further added: “Releasing on the Sankranti festival will add to the mood. I know it is a heavy competition, as there are two other biggies releasing in the same time. I wish them all the best. I am someone who believes that the audience will support good films. So, in that way, I believe Petta will find the audience’s support and win their hearts.”
It’s for the first time that Superstar Rajinikanth and Thala Ajith are clashing at the box-office since Viswasam is also slated for January 10th release worldwide.
