Oru Oorla Rendu Raja is inspired from a real-life incident: Kannan
Director Kannan who made a largely underwhelming Settai featuring Arya, Hansika and Anjali in lead roles, is ready to serve his next film Oru Oorla Rendu Raja, an entertaining road flick. The story of the film is the journey of two childhood friends Soori and Vemal from Tuticorin to Chennai. The film starts in Tuticorin and ends in Chennai. “It was a news item about a real-life incident that inspired me to write this script. There will be a socially relevant message woven into the screenplay,” says Kannan.
The film is currently under post-production phase now and will be released on October 2nd for the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. It has Priya Anand playing the female lead and Vishakha Singh in an important role. Iniya, who was last seen in a crucial role in Vishal’s Naan Sigappu Manithan, has grooved for an item number and Lakshmi Menon has sung a peppy track composed by Imman.
