Oru Oorla Rendu Raja censored U; has an important social message
Director R. Kannan’s upcoming film Oru Oorla Rendu Raja has an important social message woven in the script. Touted to be a clean family entertainer, the film’s story is inspired from a real-life incident. “OORR is a travel story with the first half set on a train and the second half on the road. It is about two friends, Azhagu and Michael (Vemal and Soori), from Tuticorin on their way to Chennai by train. They meet Priya Anand, a medical student. Certain things happen that changes their lives,” says Kannan to a daily.
“While there is love and banter in the film, there’s also an important social message,” add Kannan. The film also has Vishakha Singh of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya fame in an important role. Iniya, who was last seen performing to a dance number in Parthiepan’s Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam, has grooved to an item number in the film, which is said to be shot aesthetically. The film also marks Lakshmi Menon playback singing debut under D. Immnan.
Oru Oorla Rendu Raja ic censored U and will hit the screens on October 2nd and will clash with Jiiva’s Yaan at the ticket-window.
