OORR, Vanmham and Jai Hind 2 in the Diwali race?

While Vijay’s Kaththi and Vikram’s I are gearing up to lock horns for the year’s biggest clash on Diwali, few mid-sized budget films are also contemplating to release on the same day to gain mileage. Since Jayalalitha’s conviction and protests aftermath robbed producers of Madras, Jeeva and other films few shows in theaters, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja directed by R. Kannan could not fetch enough screens to get released today and it had to make way for Ravi K Chandran’s Yaan instead.

Now Oru Oorla Rendu Raja, Jai Krishna’s Vijay Sethupathi, Kreshna, Sunaina-starrer Vanmham and Arjun’s Jai Hind 2 are also eyeing for screens on Diwali to capitalize on the festival weekend, says a source. Will they survive the big brothers Kaththi and Poojai at the ticket window?
