Official: Vijay Sethupathi joins Vada Chennai
We had reported our readers last December that Vijay Sethupathi had given his consent to be a part of Vetrimaaran’s gangster saga Vada Chennai. Now, Dhanush has officially confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing an important role in the movie. “Vijay Sethupathi will be playing a very important extended cameo in vada chennai. Very happy :),” [sic] posted Dhanush on his micro-blogging page.
The team is currently shooting in a jail set constructed in Binny Mills, Perambur. Planned as a trilogy, Vada Chennai traces the life of Dhanush over a period of three decades. Produced by Wunderbar Films, Vada Chennai has music by Santhosh Narayanan. Andrea Jeremiah, Kishore, Daniel Balaji and Samuthirakani form the supporting cast. Amala Paul is in talks to replace Samantha, who opted out of the project since she could not allocate bulk dates for the film.
