Nushrat Bharucha is against running after directors for films

Nushrat Bharucha is gearing up for the release of Valeba Raja directed by Sai Gokul Ramnath to make her debut in Kollywood. Her winning performance in the Hindi film Pyaar Ka Punchnama received a lot of accolades for the petite lass. “Vishakha and I are good friends. She suggested my name to the director and Gokul called me because he was also convinced after watching Pyaar Ka Punchnama. When Gokul narrated the script, what I really liked is that he wanted someone like me for the character,” says Nushrat. Valeba Raja also features Sethu, Vishakha Singh and Santhanam in lead roles.

“I don’t like running after directors for films. I happened to sign Valeba Raja because the director saw his character in me. He felt that I was part of his vision. I like to work with such directors who want to work with me,” says Nushrat. Valeba Raja is a light-hearted romantic comedy and will see the light of day soon.
