Niharika Konidela opts out of Ashok Selvan’s next; Megha Akash on board

Tentatively titled as ‘Production No.7’, Selva Kenanya’s next production features Ashok Selvan in the lead role. Niharika Konidela, who was signed to play the lead role, has opted out of the project. Now, the makers have signed Megha Akash to play the lead heroine. The project marks the directorial debut of Swathini, a former assistant to Suseenthiran.

Producer J Selvakumar said earlier, “We at Kenanya Films have always been eager to introduce new talents and have been very much particular about delivering contents that savour the tastes of universal audiences. I have always looked up high on Bollywood’s most reputed production house – Rajshri Productions that has continuously churned out greatest family entertainers of all times like Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain… Accordingly, when I was looking out for scripts of a similar paradigm that has an appropriate blend of family, comedy, love, and emotions, Swathini approached us with a script that looked perfect. Furthermore, she took additional responsibility for reworking and furnishing her script with more family values and substantial characterizations nearly for a year. With Ashok Selvan’s career graph skyrocketing after the grand success of Oh My Kadavule, I felt more comfortable in expanding the production values of this film.”
