NGK postponed from Diwali due to Selvaraghavan’s health condition?
Suriya’s NGK which was slated to hit screens for Diwali has been reportedly postponed since director Selvaraghavan has fallen ill. According to reports, Selva has undergone a surgery recently in the appendix and is advised bed rest by doctors for some time.
The makers will resume the next leg of shooting only after Selvaraghavan completely recuperates from his surgery. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, NGK (Nandha Gopalan Kumaran) features Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh as female leads. The team still has 35% of the film to be canned.
Meanwhile, Selvaraghavan has tweeted..
Hi friends. It was a simple medical procedure. I'm perfectly fine and have resumed work. Shooting for #NGK will start in next couple of days. Once again thank you all for your love and concern. 🤗🤗🤗

Sources say the team is eyeing a Christmas weekend release for the film, and an official confirmation is awaited. If that’s the scenario, Thalapathy Vijay’s Sarkar will not have any big competition for Diwali.
