New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor is waiting to watch Rajinikanth’s Lingaa

For the past few days, Rajinikanth mania has swept over the internet. The first look motion poster of Lingaa was unveiled recently to a rousing reception. A day later, a video aired on news channel Times Now on Rajinikanth was virally shared all over the internet and it’s still not put down to rest. The video was aimed at showcasing viewers a glimpse of Narendra Modi’s official visit to Japan and their reactions about the Indian Prime Minister. Apparently, a Japanese citizen was holding a placard with Rajinikanth and Narendra Modi’s picture. He went on air saying, “I like Rajinikanth and am a member of Rajini fan club in Kyoto, Japan. Muthu and Baasha are my favorite movies.” The fervent Rajinikanth fan also uttered the famous dialogue from Baasha impromptu.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in New Zealand, the southern part of the globe, famous cricketer Ross Taylor, who played for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premiere League last year, shared his part of Rajinikanth admiration on Twitter to his fellow Indian crickter Dinesh Karthik.  “This will definitely be a first day first show movie#thailavarrajnikanth ,” posted Dinesh to which Ross replied, “one of the greats :). Hope you’re well mate.” Then Dinesh Karthik alerted Ross about Thalaivar’s film, “yes I’m doing good Ross, good to hear from u,and plz keep urself free for thailavar rajnikanths movie.hope ur family is fine.” And Ross Taylor stunned us all with this reply – “family are good thanks. Lock me in when I’m over next. Will go watch. Can’t wait.”

Rajinikanth, truly a global icon and a phenomenon!
