Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja is a decent watch for those who are looking out for comedy films. The film has a good message to put across, and does that with a narrative that is packed with some fine jokes, at the cost of some bad ones.
Two happy-go-lucky guys in Rio and Vigneshkanth wish to go up in life by making YouTube videos, and plan some prank-like skits for the same. When one of their ideas go wrong, they are pulled into a challenge put forward by Radha Ravi to perform three tasks. What happens when they start performing the tasks and come to know the real reason behind doing so is what the film is about. While the concept of the film is not that great, there are some emotional moments along the way which help it plod through.
Rio Raj puts in a decent performance in the lead role, supported by Vigneshkanth who contributes with some laughs. The film hangs onto these two men throughout, with cameos from different people from the Black Sheep gang who are famous on YouTube. Technically and musically, the film passes muster and is decent to say the least.
The gang of Black Sheep have bent on their YouTube tricks and techniques to make a full length feature, which only works in parts. There are some fun moments here and there, but the emotional connect and the logic in the film does take some stick and is not present in full force. At best, this is a film that could be enjoyed if you won’t complain too much.
Verdict: A passable entertainer
