Few weeks back, speculations were thick and fast that Sunny Leone was approached by director Kannan of Settai fame to shake a leg with comedian Soori for an item number in Oru Oorla Rendu Raja. Later, reports were in the air that Sunny demanded a whopping sum of Rs. 35 lakhs for the song and that didn’t go down well with the makers. “It’s true that we approached her for an item number, which will be shot in Chalakudy at Kerala. But unfortunately, due to date issues, she was not able to travel for the song. It’s a beautiful rain song, shot in an exotic location,” clarifies Kannan denying salary rumors.
The latest buzz is that the team has now approached Neetu Chandra to replace Sunny Leone since Neetu has earlier made a special appearance in a song for Kannan’s Settai. “OORR is an exciting travel story which happens on a train. It has all the commercial elements with an intense story line. Already, 95 per cent of the shoot is done. Vemal, Soori and Priya Anand are playing the main leads in the film. Soori plays a role that is not restricted to that of a comedian and it gives him enough scope to perform,” explains Kannan.
