“Neduvaasal is bigger than Jallikattu, so let us come together,” says Lawrence
Raghava Lawrence, one of the active voices during the Jallikattu issue, has expressed his support for the farmers who are fighting against centre’s hydrocarbon project in Neduvaasal, Pudukottai district.
Lawrence was supposed to observe a hunger strike today in Valluvarm Kottam but the state government denied permission since President Pranab Mukherjee’s Chennai visit is due tomorrow. A disappointed Lawrence took to his Facebook page and said, “I feel very bad about this unexpected turn of events. I would like this hunger fast to be done in a peaceful manner without any untoward incidents. I am going to request them for permissions once again tomorrow asking for a new date and a suitable plan of action will be made to voice our concerns. This is bigger than the Jallikattu issue so let us come together and save our farmers!.”
On the professional front, Lawrence is currently awaiting the release of Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva and Sivalinga.
