Nayanthara on board Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan

Lady Superstar Nayanthara has been signed to play one of the female leads in Mani Ratnam’s ambitious magnum-opus Ponniyin Selvan. To be bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film stars Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi in the lead roles.

Keerthy Suresh and Aishwarya Rai are also part of the film, which will have music composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. An official announcement will be made by the makers soon. Amitabh Bachchan has also been approached for an essential role in the movie.
