Akila Kishore, who grabbed everyone’s attention in Parthiepan’s Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam, says she takes inspiration from actress Nayanthara and likes her work personally. “I don’t mean to sound pompous, but a lot of people say I resemble Nayanthara. Personally, I love her work and she is one actress I draw inspiration from. I want to be like her,” says Akila to a daily. She is currently playing one of the female leads in Santhanam’s upcoming tentatively titled film Dhilluku Duttu directed by his Lollu Sabha friend Muruganantham.
The film also features Ashna Zaveri, who played the lead role in Santhanam’s Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, as another female lead. “I play a traditional Tamil girl in the film. It is a role that is drastically different from whatever I have done so far. Santhanam is a wonderful person and kept the entire crew in splits, when we had to do a photoshoot for the film,” says Akila. Dhillukku Duttu is expected to go on floors soon.
