A passable tale of friendship and love!
Natpathigaram is a passable tale of friendship and romance from the stables of director Ravichandran of Kannethire Thondrinaal and Majnu fame. Though the film has a middling story-line - relationship about two modern young couples, Ravichandran presents it with some sort of freshness that makes it not too bad.

Natpathigaram is a passable tale of friendship and romance from the stables of director Ravichandran of Kannethire Thondrinaal and Majnu fame. Though the film has a middling story-line – relationship about two modern young couples, Ravichandran presents it with some sort of freshness that makes it not too bad. It is the conveniently written character arcs that seem too implausible to swallow.
Raj Bharath and Reshmi Menon deliver good performances and theri friendship angle is portrayed superbly on screen. Their chemistry works better than anything else in the film. There is some maturity in their relationship which is so likeable. Reshmi Menon as a demure, orthodox Tamil brahmic carries her role with perfection though she comes across as stone-faced on few occasions.
Technically, the film is shouldered by cinematographer Gurudev who has put to use different lighting to present the most ordinary and predictable scenes. Some dialogues penned by Ravichandran make you think and some leave you with the feeeling that it’s not worth your while.
