National award winner designs Amala Paul’s wedding dress

Kollywood lass Amala Paul and director Vijay’s next month is the talk of the town in Kollywood. While the news is abuzz with articles on her post-marriage plans and her removal from a Telugu, we bring you special updates on various designer wears of the gorgeous damsel for her wedding. For her sangeet ceremony in Kochi, she will wear a dress designed by one of India’s prominent designers, Anita Dongre.

“The marriage is a typical Chettiar ceremony and I am wearing jewels from Amraapali, while the rest are from Joy Alukkas,” says Amala Paul with a smile. She will wear a traditional Kancheevaram saree for the marriage. But for the reception, which is expected to be a star-studded affair and attended by who’s who of the industry, a stunning Sabyasachi designed outfit awaits her. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, a National Award winner for his work in the Hindi film Black, has also designed the entire collection of dresses for Vidya Balan’s marriage.
