Nassar on Ajith and Nayanthara’s absence in Nadigar Sangam elections

Ajith’s absence in the recently held Nadigar Sangam elections grabbed the attention of avid film buffs on social media platforms. There were reports that Ajith was under treatment for his leg injury on the election day. Nassar, the incumbent President of Nadigar Sangam, when asked about this in a recent interview, gives a measured response.

“Mandatory voting system is not in place. Santhanam could not come since he was in Ahmedabad. Likewise, Ajith and Nayanthara could have been in unforeseen circumstances,” said Nassar who also added that the remarks of Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth on changing the name of the union are nothing wrong since it’s their freedom of expression.
