“My film is not based on Haji Mastan’s life,” clarifies Pa. Ranjith

After reports that his next with Superstar Rajinikanth is based on the life story of Mumbai don Haji Mastan, director Pa. Ranjith has issued a clarification saying the film is set in a Mumbai backdrop but not based on any one.

“It’s a fictional story set in Mumbai. It’s not based on Haji Mastan’s of life or anyone,” reads a statement from Ranjith. Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, this yet-untitled film is expected to go on floors in Chennai on May 28th.
