Mithran Jawahar to remake Thattathin Marayathu; GV Prakash composes music

Director Mithraj Jawahar is long-known for remaking films from other languages. He is popular for his collaboration with Dhanush in Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran – all are remakes of Telugu films. He is currently working on ‘Samiyattam‘, a remake of the Telugu film Swamy Ra Ra. It has Srikanth and VJ Pooja in lead roles. The latest news is Jawahar will wield the megaphone for the official remake of the superhit Malayalam film Thattathin Marayathu. 

“Yes, we are remaking Thattathin Marayathu, with certain changes to suit the local audience. We are set to begin shooting for the film from September 10 onwards. We will be shooting for the film in and around Coimbatore and Pollachi. Isha Talwar, who played the lead role of Aisha in the original, will be the playing the lead character in Tamil too,” confirmed Mithran Jawahar to a daily. The male lead is yet to be finalized. GV Prakash has been roped in as music composer for this romantic fable.
