Following an adult certificate for Jayam Ravi-Shakti Rajan’s Miruthan from the censor board, the makers have decided to appeal to the revising committee. The film, which was originally planned to hit cinemas on February 12th, is likely to get postponed now.
This has created chaos in the release dates of other films. In order to take advantage of Miruthan’s postponement, Suseenthiran’s production Vil Ambu and the Vemal-starrer Anjala have been confirmed to see the light of day on February 12th alongside Siddharth’s Jil Jung Juk.
Meanwhile, Kalaipuli S Thanu’s Kanithan has also cleared the censors with a clean U and is eyeing for release this month. Already, Vijay Sethupathi’s cop drama Sethupathi and Arulnidhi’s Aaraathu Sinam are vying for release on February 19th. Distributors are now eagerly waiting for the makers of Miruthan to zero in on a release date.
