Mersal unseats Vivegam and Kabali record in Chennai city
Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal has unseated Ajith’s Vivegam and Rajinikanth’s Kabali to emerge as the highest day one grosser in Chennai city with Rs. 1.52 crores. The movie was released without PVR and INOX screens and with the newly-announced ticket prices.
In the USA, the movie has entered the top five highest premiere grossers list, only next to Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Lingaa. Now, Mersal is on the verge of touching half a million dollar in the USA.
