Mersal Telugu version ‘Adirindhi’ postponed due to tedious censor certification process
Adirindhi, the Telugu version of Thalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster Mersal, has fallen prey to the tedious censor certification process, which came into effect recently.
The movie, which was certified U/A a few days back and was gearing up for release today, has been postponed now since the censor board in Chennai has still not issued the certificate to the makers. Telugu producer Sharath Maraar, who has purchased the Telugu rights for the film, is miffed with the delay.
Now, a film has to be submitted for censor board certification at least two months before it sees the light of the day to ensure a hassle-free release.
Filmmakers: Censor board website makes it clear that it needs 68 days totally to issue a certificate. Please be aware & plan in advance🤔🤔✍️🤗 pic.twitter.com/uBuajAxupH
