If you want to take your life to the silver screen, feel free to take help from Hiphop Aadhi. He inspires and certainly knows which part of life will make the audiences enjoy.

Meesaya Murukku is clear and intentional for all the youths standing in the queue longing to exhibit their talent. The story is real and to be frank, it doesn’t bore you. Instead it keeps developing the confidence level of an individual which gets the loud applause and cheer for the musician/singer turned actor Aadhi himself, who would be in a surprise.

Simple plot: A college youngster develops his talent at snail pace and takes it into the next level with his friends support, an inspiring romance and a moustache twirling father. Vivek comes in as Aadhi’s father and has brought his age into experience and throughout kept the tempo whether be it a responsible advice to his son or kindling him, his small wits have done well. The first half kept reminding the college days with fun, emotions, romance and it was nothing new but certainly succeeded for it was easily relatable to the youngsters’ personal life.

With an ambition in mind, Aadhi sets out to achieve his life goals and wants to do an album and starts to pack bag as usual to the wanted city, Chennai. As he starts developing himself, he sees the thrust and crust and how he faces the challenge to see what he is today is well portrayed. One can see Aadhi’s confidence level moving steady for nobody knows oneself better than himself.

Vivek needs a special mention for standing alone and the exhibition of his character lays the platform for building the inspiration throughout. Ananth as Aadhi’s brother fits himself as a boxer and has kept the action alive. RJ Vignesh, Shah Ra have played vital roles and bring in giggles. The film was filled with YouTube stars which added more fun and spice to the script.

Technically, the music and BGM kept the foot tapping, editing by Fenny was right on the table and cinematography by duo Kiruthi Vasan and UK Senthil Kumar was laudable.

Overall Meesaya Murukku is a simple autobiographical drama with definite punch and inspiration. It also has some cinematic clichés, but can give credit for a debutant without bothering least on the negatives. It is certainly fun to watch and entertaining as well.
