“Maya will have gripping emotional content like Eeram,” says director

Director Ashwin, who makes his debut with the women-centric horror film Maya, is upbeat about the content. “Maya is a supernatural thriller but you cannot genralize it as a mainstream ghost movie. These days ghost stories and subjects are omnipresent. I have written this script long before. Maya will have gripping supernatural and emotional content like Eeram. There is no hero or a heroine in my script to specify,” says Ashwin.

“The script is based on various incidents of which the first twist opens from Nayanthara. Nedunchalai hero Aari has an interesting character in
the film. Sathya is the cameraman for the movie, everyday when I start to the sets I will envision the way it will be filmed. But once I reach the sets, Sathya will add his own style to it to make it more engrossing,” added Ashwin in an interview to a Tamil magazine.

The film is all set for release on September 17th for the Vinayagar Chaturthi weekend.
