Maryam Zakariya on her guest appearance in Anjaan

The Iranian-born ballet dancer Maryam Zakariya appears in Anjaan for a guest appearance. The film, interestingly, also has Bollywood siren Chitrangada Singh for an item number. However, Anjaan is not Maryam’s debut in Kollywood. She already appeared for a cameo in Sundar C directorial Thalainagaram four years back.

“I’m doing a very hot guest appearance in the movie and an item song too. They wanted a Bollywood celebrity to be a part of the project and I’m happy they chose me. When I was approached to do the song with Suriya and Vidyut for Lingusamy’s film, I instantly agreed as I know the respect and popularity they have in the South,” says Maryam to a daily. She hopes to work with Vijay, Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu in future.
