Manisha Koirala, Rana, Arvind Swamy on board Bala’s Kuttra Parambarai

We had earlier reported our readerw here that director Bala is planning to make a multi-starrer film called Kuttra Parambarai, set in the British era about the Denotified Tribes. Touted to be a highly controversial subject, Kuttra Parambarai has been a dream project for veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja and now Bala has taken the baton to bring it alive on screen.

While Vishal and Arya were roped in for the project few weeks back, the latest update is that Bala has signed Manisha Koirala, Rana Daggubati, Arvind Swamy and Atharvaa Murali to play important roles in the film. Anushka Shetty has also been approached to play a pivotal role in the project, but she is yet to give her nod.

“Bala has strictly told his lead cast and technical crew not to read anything about Kuttra Parambarai and come to sets with an open mind. Bala is in talks with various producers to make an official announcement on the project soon,” informs a source privy to the development.
