Mani Ratnam’s spy thriller to be shot in China?

Ever since Suhasini Maniratnam let the cat out of the bag on the untitled project of Mani Ratnam’s next in a Telugu news channel last week, the media has been frantically trying to gather information on the secret project. When asked about the celebrated filmmaker’s upcoming project, Suhasini was candid and frank enough to give details on the same. She said, “The project is progressing well. Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Shruti Hassan and Aishwarya Rai form the leading cast. And music will be composed by the Mozart of Madras, ARR.”

The film will be a spy thriller genre, she added. Now, the team has started scouting for spectacular locations in India and China, say sources. It is a well-known fact Mani Ratnam hardly goes abroad for his films, be it for a scene or a song. It would be interesting to see if China joins the list of locations where the film would be shot.
