“Mani Ratnam will win this time,” says Vairamuthu

Vairamuthu, a regular and long-standing collaborator of Mani Ratnam, has opened up about the duo’s story sessions and their upcoming offering Ok Kanmani, which is tentatively slated for release on April 17th.

“You would be surprised if I tell you how Mani Ratnam narrates his stories to me. There’s not a single time where Mani Ratnam narrated his story to me for more than three minutes. He is of the opinion that if a film-maker is not able to narrate a story in three minutes, it’s not worth it. Ok Kanmani is a beautiful love story, a genre where Mani Ratnam has been a master at for years. He has chosen this genre out of will. He will definitely win this time,” says Vairamuthu.
