Mani Ratnam lavishes praise on Irudhi Suttru

Maddy’s comeback film Irudhi Suttru has been garnering a lot of attention ever since its release. After Bala’s unrestrained positive remarks last week, now it is Mani Ratnam who has lavished praise on the film and his former associate Sudha Kongara. 

“There is a completeness in the film. There is some intelligence in the storytelling and detailing in the screenplay. I was happy. The idea of a plot centered on the life of a female boxer was interesting. And, the way it’s narrated was lively, entertaining, commercial and wholesome. Ritika looks a lot like Sudha. She speaks Tamil and is confident. There is life in her performance. In some places, she was very good,” says Mani Ratnam.
