Mani Ratnam to direct Dhanush?

The hottest buzz in the industry is that Mani Ratnam is planning to direct Dhanush in a straight Hindi film next. Dhanush has gained a good foothold in Bollywood. And with Shamitabh all set for release on February 6th, which marks Dhanush’s first-time collaboration with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, sources say Mani Ratnam is keen on casting Dhanush in his next.

Alia Bhatt, who was earlier rumored to play the lead role in Okay Kanmani, will be approached to play the female lead, says a source in the know. If all goes well, the film will be produced by Mani’s homebanner Madras Talkies and we will get to see the dream combo Mani-Dhanush for the first time. An official confirmation is awaited.
