Make-up artist Banu for Rajinikanth in Lingaa

Chennai-based make-up artist Banu will take care of Thalaivar’s looks once again, this time for KS Ravikumar directorial Lingaa. Banu started working on looks for the leads in Mani Ratnam films. She conceptualized the looks for Mohan Lal and Aishwarya Rai in Iruvar, Anu Agarwal in Thiruda Thiruda. However, her major breakthrough arrived when Rajinikanth hand-picked her for Shankar’s Sivaji. She also worked in Anniyan and conceived the three different looks of Vikram after long discussions with Shankar. She was critically acclaimed for showcasing Rajinikanth’s as a robot (Chitti) in the blockbuster film Endhiran. Now, Banu is joining hands with Rajinikanth for the third consecutive time in Lingaa. It stars Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha playing lead roles opposite Rajinikanth. According to distributors in the USA, the film is slated for release on Rajinikanth’s birthday, 12.12.14.
